Other Comics

Matthew K. Manning has written a variety of comics in a variety of genres, from his early underground work with the art collective Meathaus to his long relationship with the comic book company IDW. His work shifts from the silly to the serious and back again, writing for adults, children, and sometimes just himself.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The six-issue Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series was written by Manning and drawn by Chad Thomas. A tie-in to the most recent animated TMNT franchise, the series earned a sequel miniseries (also by Manning and Thomas) in the form of Rise of the TMNT: Sound Off.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Amazing Adventures

The second tie-in title to the 2012 Nickelodeon TMNT cartoon, this series featured Manning as one of its regular writers. His work can be found in Volumes 1, 3, and 4 of the trade paperback editions, as well as in The Meeting of the Mutanimals hardcover.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: New Animated Adventures

Manning's first work for IDW was serving as one of the regular rotating writers for this tie-in title to the 2012 TMNT animated series. His work can be found in Volumes 4, 5, and 6 of the trade paperback editions.

The Fall of the House of Usher

This graphic novel adapts Edgar Allan Poe's famous macabre tale thanks to the artwork of Jim Jimenz. Manning also adapted Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves for Capstone, and wrote four original graphic novels for them in his series EOD Soldiers.
