Other Comics
Matthew K. Manning has written a variety of comics in a variety of genres, from his early underground work with the art collective Meathaus to his long relationship with the comic book company IDW. His work shifts from the silly to the serious and back again, writing for adults, children, and sometimes just himself.
Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The six-issue Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series was written by Manning and drawn by Chad Thomas. A tie-in to the most recent animated TMNT franchise, the series earned a sequel miniseries (also by Manning and Thomas) in the form of Rise of the TMNT: Sound Off.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Amazing Adventures
The second tie-in title to the 2012 Nickelodeon TMNT cartoon, this series featured Manning as one of its regular writers. His work can be found in Volumes 1, 3, and 4 of the trade paperback editions, as well as in The Meeting of the Mutanimals hardcover.
The Fall of the House of Usher
This graphic novel adapts Edgar Allan Poe's famous macabre tale thanks to the artwork of Jim Jimenz. Manning also adapted Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves for Capstone, and wrote four original graphic novels for them in his series EOD Soldiers.
